Pappas Recreation Complex

Thanks to Auburn community spirit and the generous contributions of many long standing Auburn residents, construction is well underway on the 4.3 million dollar Dr. Arthur and Dr. Martha Pappas Recreation Complex. It is located on a 20 acre parcel of land adjacent to Pakachoag Church and Pakachoag Music School of Greater Worcester. Designed as a vibrant community gathering place for all ages, it is situated near the College of the Holy Cross, Pakachoag Golf Course, Pakachoag Elementary School and the Lorraine Gleick Nordgren Senior Center.

The facility consists of five playing fields: two soccer fields (one full size with artificial turf and lights, one youth size on natural grass), 2 baseball fields (one with artificial turf and lights, one with natural grass) and a fifth playing field with interchangeable pitching mounds to allow both softball and baseball. In addition, there will be a concession stand, a performance pavilion, a paved walking path and a playground.
